Real Women of Gaming

Here we are again. A time of year that brings mixed feelings for people everywhere. Back to school time. I, personally, hated it for the majority of my school career. Some people, however, do love it. Either side of the fence you sit on, it is inevitable that school will come around again.

If you need a little extra push, here are some anime set in school to help get you through the year. 

1. My Hero Academia – Set in a world where most of the population has a quirk, or a power of some sort. Izuku Midoriya wants nothing more than to be a pro hero one day. To do that he must first get into and excel in a hero course. His world becomes much more complicated as he enters My Hero Academia and starts on the path to his dreams. Can he and his new friends make it to graduation?
2. Toradora! – After a wild altercation in the halls, Ryuji finds himself entangled with a pint sized fighter named Taiga. Neither of them fit their physical appearance. They also have crushes that they need help with. After making a pact to assist each other, even odder stories unfold with their high school as the main backdrop.  
3. Ouran Highschool Host Club – Haruhi has worked hard to get into Ouran, one of the most prestigious schools in the area. Academic scholarship? Check. Can do attitude? Check. A place to study? Still needed. After accidentally stumbling into a music room Haruhi finds the school’s Host Club and then knocks over an expensive vase. In an effort to pay them back, Haruhi is brought into the club and shenanigans ensue. 
4. Sailor Moon – Young Usagi is a typical teenager. She loves food, her friends and video games. School, not so much. She struggles with her grades as much as she does her coordination. One day she saves a stray cat and it changes her life forever. Suddenly she is a sailor guardian, saving the day and in search of a princess!
5. Belle – Suzu is struggling. After the death of her mother she lost a big part of her identity. Thankfully she is getting a second chance at finding herself in a virtual world. The real world and the world of school though is still a struggle. Will Suzu find her voice and her confidence outside of her avatar again? 

School can be hard. I hope these anime will help you through the year. YOU GOT THIS!
