Helping others is the cornerstone on which Real Women of Gaming was built. We started off as a place to help dispel myths about gamers. Now we are striving to create safe spaces and promote equality. While our members are not all American, we could not sit by and watch liberties be stripped away in the US. So for our biggest charity event of the year we chose to take a stand the best way we know how. Through gaming and humor to raise money.

The ACLU is the cause have chosen to partner with this year. As the American Civil Liberties Union say of themselves, “The ACLU has been at the center of nearly every major civil liberties battle in the U.S. for more than 100 years.” Now they need our help so that they can continue their important work more than ever. The American Civil Liberties Union is a non-profit and non-partisan organization. The ACLU has more than 1.1 million members, 500 staff attorneys, thousands of volunteer attorneys, and offices throughout the nation. They are actively fighting for the constitution and for the rights of the American people as of the time this article is being written, October 31, 2025.

We had multiple streams starting on October 24th and continuing to October 31st. We had two very different, yet creepy, TTRPGs. Crymson led a panel about issues that affect women’s health. Our amazing streamers played a gambit of horror games. Some were historical, some took place in hell, and some were just trying to survive. Most importantly though: we all had a blast.

We raised $402.00 and we could not be more proud. The generosity that our community shows every year, no matter how hard times are, is always amazing. Thank you all so much. There are no words for the gratitude that we feel.

Thank you all again for showing up. For sharing social media posts. For sharing our donation link. For hanging out in streams. For being the best community we could ever hope for. Thank you so very much!

That is it for our events this year. We will see you in 2026!

Let’s end 2025 with being extra kind to each other.

ALWAYS KEEP SPARKLING!!!
