You’re Not Alone Is Almost Here!

We are so excited! You’re Not Alone 2022 is this week. This is our longest running charity event and is very special to us here at Real Women of Gaming.

Like Real Women of Gaming itself You’re Not Alone has gone through changes through the years. It started off as an anti-bullying fundraiser. In recent years it has evolved into a mental health themed fundraiser. We all understand the importance of mental health in our organization. Mental health is a huge issue that not only affects but is also is affected by different aspects of a person’s life. For example: housing can impact a person’s mental health, but their mental health can also impact their housing situation. There are complex, intertwining issues that surround mental health, and we want to help in any way that we can.

This year we will be working with the creators of an amazing game called Dot’s Home who are a part of The Rise Home Project. This single player game follows the journey of Dot as she travels through time to key moments in her family’s history. The creator’s of this game reached out and were so kind to us during TogtherCon. We are excited to be partnering with them for You’re Not Alone this year. I highly encourage you to explore their website and also to play this powerful game.
