Be Some’s Superhero Is Almost Here!

The time has come, heroes. We gather together in this brand new year and do something fantastic. To raise money for charity!

It is fitting that our first charity of the year is Be Someone’s Superhero. It was, after all, our first ever charity event. In 2016 Real Women of Gaming  and friends came together to raise awareness about bullying and to try to get some money to put toward classes to help stop it. It was a success and so, in true Real Women of Gaming fashion, we continued and it grew every year. With Covid we started to take advantage of virtual events. This has been a safe way for us all to get together to try to help others. The event has also gone through a few more changes through the years.

The focus of the charity has shifted toward mental health. Many external things can affect mental health. Just as one’s mental health can affect the external around them. So we have been partnering with an organization called Player Vs Hunger. While Player Vs Hunger got its start in Houston they are growing. We are honored to be able to work with Player Vs. Hunger as helping to end food insecurity is extremely important to both organizations.

So let’s get to the details of the charity event! This is a virtual event so it will all be online. Safe and fun for everyone.
