Every charity event is special. We here at Real Women of Gaming are very lucky to facilitate these. There is a thrill to the planning. Every stream has its own challenges and joys. Then there is the satisfaction of helping others where we can. This is a chaotic world. It feels very dark right now so any bit of good that can be done is uplifting.
Thirteen days is always a marathon and totally worth it. This year we partnered with The Alzheimer’s Association. Dementia is an umbrella term for many diseases in which the brain is affected and dying. Alzheimer’s has been the most common for many years. Many of us here at Real Women of Gaming have, very sadly, lost loved ones to this awful disease.
These losses led us to want to do something. Research led us to the Alzheimer’s Association. A wonderful group to work with. They put their efforts toward research but also so much more. They help the community as well. Something that is not often talked about are the caregivers and loved ones of those living with the disease. The Alzheimer’s Association works to support them as well.
Please check out their website in the link above. It has lots of information about the disease. The organization. Where their money is spent. Also lots of support for those who are losing their loved ones. It is a great resource.
We had a frightfully fun 13 days of streaming into Halloween this year! There was such a diversity to our streams which was really interesting. We played spooky games. Told stories through TTRPGS. There was a music stream where terrifying tunes were made. We even got to see minis being painted!

Our chats were a blast so thank you for that. As always we could not do any of this without you. Your help sharing on social media. Your donations. Your time with us as we raised money. Thank you for helping us try to get closer to the first survivor!
We made $620.00 which we were very proud of.
There were milestones hit. Due to these you will get to see staff participate in streams like a series of Chained Together streams and a Never have I Ever stream!
We are so grateful for this time with you.
ALWAYS KEEP SPARKLING!!!
