We had the pleasure of talking to the amazing ladies from Boba Studios! Ashley & Kyrstin are so full of passion for their game, it’s heartwarming and refreshing. These ladies are not only dedicated but also ambitious. Currently only 5k from the goal on their first Kickstarter and have no signs of stopping anytime soon. Attending cons, coding, doing art, making and selling merch, in addition to their Kickstarter. Let’s not forget kicking butts. But never Squirrely Roo Rabbit’s butt.

Squirrely Roo Rabbit is an in-development, 2.5D, puzzle-adventure game based on color theory and featuring a visual style reminiscent of watercolor pop-up storybooks. You can grab a demo of it here. These adorable characters are available to purchase in many forms on their Etsy store. Posters, postcards, enamel pins, t-shirts, and more help them fund the future of this adorable game.

Ashley wanted to start her own gaming company ever since she was a kid. Kyrstin wanted to move from a more traditional art space and found a home in animation. They combined their love of art, and story-based games and turned it into an adorable game with a watercolor look inspired by pop-up books.
We cannot wait to see this amazing game (and more plushies) when it’s completed. Until then, they are hoping to have early access by next spring and a full game in two years. We know that there can be many bumps in the road for a small developer team but we wish them all the speed and ease in their journey. Make sure you keep up-to-date and don’t forget to back them on Kickstarter!
