Thia’s Top 10 Upcoming Games of 2016

Well, with the New Year, winter is also here. Thankfully, with it will be coming some new games to keep us entertained. Here are ten games, in no particular order, to get excited for in 2016!

1. One Night Ultimate Vampire by Bezier Games

Okay, so those of you who follow our Facebook know that I love tabletop games. You also will know that Werewolf is one of my absolute favorites. One Night Ultimate Vampire is similar, but with Vampires. Like with Werewolf this is a 3-10 player game where everyone gets a role and it only takes one vampire to win the game. Best part is that it is available now. Bring on the Vampires!

2. Firewatch
firewatch
Due to be released on February 9, 2016 for PC, Mac, Linux and PS4, Firewatch is going to be a first-person adventure. It has a few twists, including that it is decision-based, which I always enjoy. You start off playing as Henry, who is searching for two missing women, which sounds easy enough, but I’m sure has a few twists. I have heard teasers that it will also be spooky.

3. Dues Ex: Mankind Divided

Due to be released February 23, 2016 for PC, Xbox One and PS4. Yes, it is here. The remake of the game from fifteen years ago. Set in the year 2029, it is an open world game. There will be different endings for every player since this game will also be decision-based.

4. Pathfinder Adventure Card Game—Class Deck: Barbarian

Pathfinder fans, this one’s for you. Due out March 8, 2016 for the tabletop gaming set. If you like to rage, this card adventure game in the Pathfinder universe, by Mike Selinker, will be perfect. It will have different quests, co-op style gameplay and deck building with 109 cards.

5. Uncharted 4: A Thief’s End

This upcoming, third-person shooter is due to come out April 26, 2016 for PS4 use. It is set three years after after the last game. We again join Drake on a mystery involving pirates and his apparently not-so-dead brother.

6. Quantum Break

I have heard of a possible release in April, but it is hard to tell since the release date has already been pushed back. This is a third-person action game. It will also have an episodic TV show that’ll change depending on the decisions you make during gameplay, which could be pretty fun. It will be limited to exclusive Xbox One game play.

7. Battleborn
battleborn
Set to be released for PS4, Xbox One and PC on May 3, 2016. Battleborn will be a colorful game that will have multiplayer battle arenas. It will be set on a star that multiple races have fled to. That means that Battleborn will have lots of cool characters to choose from.

8. Mirror’s Edge: Catalyst

The release date for this one has been pushed back to May 24, 2016, but all reports say it will be well worth the wait. It will be for PS4, Xbox One and PC. This is another game that had an earlier version. Fans of that run should get pretty stoked for this one. More missions. New puzzles to solve. There will also be races as you get to explore the city.

9. No Man’s Sky

This game is set to come out in June 2016 for PS4 and PC. This sci-fi game looks pretty cool. No Man’s Sky lets you explore and hopefully survive in generated universes. As you play, different universes get built for you. This will be another fun one to watch as you play.

10. Star Wars Rebellion

This new Star Wars-themed tabletop game will put you and up to three other players in the fight for the universe. It will include two game boards and miniatures. Star Wars Rebellion looks like it will be a solid tabletop game for all players.

It looks like the Force is strong with gaming in 2016!
