Games We loved in 2022!

Here at Real Women of Gaming we love games. All kinds of games really. While we play a lot of video games and TTRPGs on Twitch our passion does not end there. Most of us really love board games as well. Here are some of our members favorite games from 2022!

Ohsnapitsli really enjoyed Unpacking. “I loved the chill vibe of the game, the way you could play at your own pace and really enjoy it. I also loved that there was a bit of a story to it, each level you’re unpacking the next stage of life. unpacking during each stage just brought back so many memories unique to my own life and I enjoyed being able to think back to those moments while playing the game.”

Thia the Bard had a blast with Grind House. “A game that I really enjoyed in 2022 was Grind House. It is a co-op board game. There are survivors who enter a mansion and try to fight their way out. Every character has special perks and a secret objective, so there is always a chance for betrayal. There are a ton of cool extensions as well!”

Iris_thekeyboardmaster had to pick Bioshock 2 for a favorite in 2022.

MartianKat chose the game New World. “I loved the intro of the ‘Fresh Start’ servers that showcased the updates to the start locations. This gave them each unique storylines that really made it feel like an entirely new game. Also, the new endgame content: Heart of the Tempest expedition, the area of Brimstone Sands, and new weapon classes have been fun to play around with.”

KinkedNitemare picked Madison. “Madison gave me everything I needed in a scary game. Interesting story, unpredictable scares and the fear sweats.”

Solidos_PTP really enjoyed TMNT: Shredder’s Revenge. “At first I thought that I hadn’t played anything released in 2022. I was wrong as I in fact played the phenomenal TMNT: Shredder’s Revenge. The game just oozes wink 90s Ninja Turtles love, as its story is set in that version of the turtles. Completed by the original 4 actors returning to do voice lines. The game brings in practically everyone you can think of from the cartoon and some cameos from other turtles media. This is backed up by the gameplay. Which is a straight up dive into the classic arcade beat’em up genre. Lots of levels, collectibles, character leveling up, and a bunch of characters to use. The only downside is it lacks full on cross-platform online play. But if you can get a full team, which can be up to 6 players if I remember correctly, you can have a ton of fun reliving the fun of 90s arcade TMNT action or learn what all the fuss was about. Lol.”
