Be Someone’s Superhero 2021

We love charity here at Real Women of Gaming. Giving back in any way we are able to is a big part of who we are. We have been very lucky to host many different charity events in the past.

Be Someone’s Superhero has taken many forms since the inaugural event in 2016. This first event we gathered together with some of our amazing cosplayer friends to raise money for the Children’s Hospital of Philadelphia. We had fun both online and in store. Some of the dedicated staff were gaming online. We had some fantastic raffles prizes in the store. It was not only a great time but a wonderful first event.

This year it will be a little different. In order to keep everyone safe we will be having a completely virtual event on February 27th. It will work similarly to the virtual events of last year. Real Women of Gaming will be live on our Twitch channel. There we will be gaming with our phenomenal streaming staff from 12:00pm to 12:00am EST. Opportunities to win raffles prizes will still be happening throughout the stream. There will also be incentives as some of us will be doing stupid things to raise money for charity.

Real Women of Gaming also has chosen a new charity that is already so dear to us. For this event we will be partnering with SameYou to raise money to help improve recovery for those who have had brain injury or a stroke. Watching our own Vanri the Rogue kick some serious butt during her own stroke recovery we knew we had to give back. We will have a Tiltify to help us collect and donate. We are very excited and proud to be able to help raise money for such a great organization.

We will have times where we will be gaming together as a family. We will also have plenty of time for you to watch your favorite streamers on our staff. Vanri will be talking about her own recovery. It is going to be a fantastic event full of fun and our typical shenanigans! We simply cannot wait to game with you all.

We will be hanging out with you online from 12:00pm to 12:00am EST on February 27 on our Twitch channel!

Thank you for helping us make a difference.
